The 14-year-old from Bihar made headlines with a remarkable innings of 101 runs off just 39 balls against Gujarat Titans, becoming the second-fastest Indian to score a century in IPL history, achieving this milestone in just 35 balls. After winning the toss, England U-19 chose to bat first, but their decision backfired as they were dismissed for 174 runs in 42.2 overs. Kanishk Chouhan was the standout bowler for India, taking three wickets, while Henil Patel, RS Ambrish, and Mohamed Enaan each claimed two wickets.
In the run chase, Suryavanshi opened the batting alongside captain Ayush Mhatre and showcased his aggressive batting style, dominating the England bowlers. He fell just two runs short of a half-century, getting out at a score of 71/1, but his performance significantly bolstered India's position.
